Norwegian

In England and in german speaking countries one calls something Norwegian, that has the characteristic stitching pattern on the toe piece of the shoe.
In Italy one says Norwegian (Ital. Norvegese) to a certain kind of sole fastening method, similar to our storm welted shoes.
The seam running straight down the toe piece is basically the same as the Norwegian seam visible on the top of the shoe, only it is found on the inside of the leather and the stitching is therefore invisible.
