Colour refreshing
The earlier mentioned soft shoe cream is available in many colours on the market, and is supposed to be particularly leather caring and easy to work with in.
A really deep shine cannot be achieved however. Most of these so-called care creams are based on a water solvent silicone to which colour-pigment has been added, far more than is contained in the hard wax pastes.
These soft creams can well be applied sparingly with a lightly dampened sponge. (Please wear rubber gloves). Use the old toothbrush for the gap between the edge of the sole and the upper leather. One then leaves the application to dry for a few minutes.
As the remaining soft silicone on the surface hinders the adhesion of the wax polish, the shoe is rubbed thoroughly again with the cleansing water.
