Trees The raw material for our shoe trees is either walnut, cherry or beech. These woods are not easy to acquire because the necessary blocks 80 x 10 x 12 cm are not trade standard and in addition they also have to be knot-free. For this reason we purchase complete tree trunks and cut them ourselves. The minimum drying time for the blanks is 18 months. We would therefore ask for your understanding when we make the decision as to which wood the trees are made of according to current availability. As far as quality and weight is concerned there are no noticeable difference between the individual woods. The shoe trees for our PRET and PRET Customized Shoes are also made to order and fitted to the shoes. There is no mechanical tensioner that might over-stretch the shoes. |
